All services / Clean

Clean the whole facade. Build nothing to reach it.

Drone-assisted cleaning for high-rise facades, planned and run as an engineering operation.

Illustrative operation scenario

01 / Conventional methods

The limits of work at height

Conventional facade cleaning relies on scaffolding, gondolas or rope access. These often need a longer set-up and put more people to work at height.

02 / The SKYHY approach

More flexible cleaning

Drones carry out the facade cleaning. Work zones and sequence are planned around each building, people spend less time exposed at height, and every operation leaves a clear record.

Scale is the point.

A facade is thousands of square metres of glass, panel and tile. Drone operations let the work move across it in planned passes, rather than being limited by where access equipment can be rigged.

Typical buildings
Office towers, residential high-rises, hotels, commercial and industrial buildings
Surface suitability
Confirmed for each building during site assessment
Occupant impact
Schedule and ground control coordinated with building management
Weather limits
Operations proceed only within defined wind and rain limits, with a go / no-go decision before each mission
Cleaning agents
Selected by facade material, surface condition and contamination type, with small-area compatibility testing when necessary
Records delivered
Zone-by-zone photo record before and after cleaning
How the work runsFull operational process
  1. 01Assess

We visit the building and read it: height, surroundings, facade material, access, and who uses it.

  2. 02Plan

The facade is split into zones, flight paths are drawn, and the ground below is closed off on paper first.

  3. 03Execute

Drone work runs to the project SOP, one zone at a time, with the site under control.

  4. 04Record

Every pass and every image is logged against a zone and a floor.

  5. 05Deliver

You receive the project record: what was done, what was found, and what we suggest next.

Facade materials and cleaning agents

Every facade material soils, ages and reacts differently.

Here is what we look for on each one.

M-01  Natural stone

Granite

花崗石

Where you find it
Podiums, lobbies and lower floors of office towers and hotels.
Common surface conditions
Traffic soot and dust, water marks, biological growth where the wall stays shaded and damp.
General note
Polished, honed and flamed finishes behave differently. We identify the finish first.
Cleaning method
Pre-wet the stone, apply a gentle wash with the cleaning agent, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Shaded, damp areas with biological growth are treated as a separate zone.
Recommended cleaning agent
Cleaning agents formulated for organic contamination. A long-acting moss treatment may be considered when appropriate.

Cleaning methods and agents are selected based on facade materials, surface conditions, and contamination types. Small-area compatibility testing may be conducted when necessary.

Textures are illustrations, not photographs of SKYHY samples. Material notes are general and for orientation only.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which buildings and facade materials is drone cleaning suitable for?

Office towers, residential high-rises, hotels, and commercial and industrial buildings, with facades such as glass curtain wall, ceramic tile, natural stone, fair-faced concrete and metal panel. Whether your building is suitable is confirmed during the site assessment, based on its height, surroundings and the condition of the facade.

How does the work affect residents and tenants?

The schedule is agreed with building management in advance, so residents know when their side of the building will be cleaned. We recommend keeping windows closed during that time, and the ground beneath the work zone is closed off while the drone operates. There is no scaffolding or gondola on the building.

Can you clean in rain or strong wind?

Only within the wind and rain limits set for the site. A go / no-go decision is made before each mission and conditions are monitored throughout. If they change, work pauses and the schedule is adjusted with building management.

How do you choose the cleaning agent?

By facade material, surface condition and the type of contamination. Natural stone, glass, tile, concrete and metal each call for a different kind of agent, and some surfaces must avoid acidic products. Where necessary, a small area is tested first to confirm the method is suitable.

What records do we receive when the work is complete?

A completion record organised by facade zone, with photos taken before and after cleaning and the date each zone was cleaned.
